Wardrobe staples are those key pieces that you wear frequently, the essentials that you would genuinely be lost without. I feel like there are a lot of articles out there about '10 Wardrobe Staples Every Woman Should Have' but every woman is individual and her style reflects that (see a post I did last year about how to define your style). For me these are my wardrobe staples and the things I own and wear pretty much all the time.
1. Black Skinny Jeans
I absolutely adore my River Island black Molly jeans. The pair I have now I have legitimately had for about four years and they're still in great condition. They are just the perfect fit and they haven't gone loose or colour changed like previous jeans I've had.

I swear by a little Chanel inspired quilted bag. I have a gorgeous Topshop number that I've had since August last year and I've held onto a few Marc B bags as well.
You can buy this little one for £25 on ASOS
3. Statement Coat
I had a gorgeous leopard print coat years ago and I got rid of it thinking it was trash and I would never wear it again. This now is one of my biggest regrets.
So recently I've seen a lot of cute leopard print coats around and I really wanted to buy myself one for Christmas (the best thing about being single at Christmas is gifting yourself).
You've probably seen the ASOS one all over social media, link here, it is out of stock currently but it comes back every now and again. Not that I look daily or anything...
Anyway to cut a long story short. Instead I went for this pink number as it was in the sale and its got a touch of leopard print on it and I feel like this is more me. But if anyone finds a cute leopard print coat, hit me up.
4. Shirt Dress
I'm a sucker for a shirt dress. They're a staple of mine both summer and winter. This one I bought in the Black Friday sales from Missguided when everything was 50% off. Now its just in the regular old sale at £21.

I literally wear Chelsea boots every day. So easy to walk in, comfortable and go with nearly every outfit.
For so long I wore the same Chelsea boots from Primark that I wore down after 3 years and I struggled to find anything remotely similar. Till I found these from London Rebel on ASOS and was delighted that they were in the sale for only £35.
Now, I've just seen they are £17 and still have my size. I'm tempted to buy another pair for when my current ones kick it so I don't have to go looking again.
6. Oversized Jumper
I genuinely have a whole shelf in my wardrobe for oversized jumpers. I tend to stick to the creams and whites (like this one from ASOS) when it comes to jumpers but I do have a few bright colours in there too.
I'm a big fan of any trousers with an elastic waist for those days when you wanna eat your weight in bread. I couldn't be without some thick leggings that you wear as trousers. Topshop always are my favourite for full coverage and longevity. Like these here.
8. High Neck Top
I remember tweeting a few years back how much I hated polo necks but now they're an everyday essential in my wardrobe. I have quite a few black ones like this one from Topshop but I also have a baby pink one I picked up years ago from Urban Outfitters (similar here).
9. High Waisted Trousers
A la Simon Cowell. I have discovered that high waisted clothes just suit my figure better. I have a small waist but big hips and a higher waisted garment just flatters me best. I recently bought some stunning red ones which I wore all over Christmas but I tend to stick to basic blacks. Like these here for £25 from ASOS.
10. Graphic Tee
Although I'm not really a band tee kind of gal because I firmly believe only wear a band you actually know and like. I only wear this because I genuinely love Nirvana and their music. I'm not about to rock a Rolling Stones one because I couldn't name you one of their songs.
I adore this shirt and it goes with pretty much all outfits. You can throw it on when you're not feeling like making too much of an effort.
You can buy similar here from Nasty Gal
