I went shopping for an outfit for Wednesday night on Wednesday and had literally no idea what to buy. I was desperately trawling through blogs for inspiration. I tried on several dresses in changing rooms, which I hated as I hate changing rooms. I don't know what it is but they just make you look ten times uglier. I think it's the lighting and getting changed in a small space. Then I was literally on the verge of tears and my housemate and one of our friends rescued me and they saw these lace shorts from Topshop and suddenly a whole outfit formed.
I've changed the way I dress on nights out lately. I used to wear like a full on ball gown and stiletto heels which is acceptable is Chester. Anywhere else going out attire is much more casual. Which is sort of the look I've been adopting, it wasn't a conscious decision but I've just noticed it as I've looked back through pictures. I would much rather invest in shorts/skirt/top that I can wear in the day and the night rather than a dress which I'll get one wear out of. I'm also realising it's not all about getting your tits and ass out to look and feel good about yourself. You can dress in leggings and a top and still feel good about yourself without looking overly sexual. I guess this is what its like to become a grown up.
