I mentioned back in my post here, that for Christmas, one of the things I really wanted was a record player. Since I can remember my Dad had a passion for music and I think he's always had a record player and lots of records. Over the years he's vastly expanded his collection and I reckon he has well over a thousand records now. I've always wanted to emulate this and grow my own collection. As I'm hugely passionate about music too. So this Christmas my Dad treated me to my own little record player. He got me the GPO Soho Turntable (buy it here) which is exclusive to HMV but you can buy similar pretty much anywhere that sells record players. The GPO Soho though is pretty decent. Not only is it sleek, it plays a good sound and its loud. On some online reviews of other record players, I've read that the sound is fuzzy or not that loud. I think its a great price as well for someone starting out and growing their collection, its currently £49.00 on HMV's website and…
Big Little Lies
In one word: incredible. It's just one of those really grippy, gritty shows that has flawed characters that you absolutely fall in love with. I compare a lot of shows to Desperate Housewives but its like a modern day, sexier Desperate Housewives. It revolves around the lives of 3 housewives based in Monterey California. It starts with a murder, but you don't know who's died and then witnesses telling their accounts of the prior weeks events. As the story unfolds more drama and layers unravel. The cast is also incredibly talented; Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley. As well as Alexander Skarsgard who I've fancied since his True Blood days and fun fact his brother, Bill, plays IT in my favourite film from last year. Anyway I'm ranting. Seriously good series that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Fun Fact. I own very few smart presentable pairs of heels. I have about a thousand pairs of boots, lots of heels for nights out and the odd pair of wedges but no smart presentable courts. I discussed earlier this year about my wardrobe staple and I felt a good pair of heels were missing from my core collection. So when I spied these little beauties on ASOS (which are actually from New Look) and saw they were under £20 I couldn't help but add them to my wardrobe. I could have gone for a few of the black pairs I saw lurking around their site but ever since I bought this pink coat also from ASOS I see more and more pink creeping into my wardrobe.
There are so many other little bargains on ASOS currently especially in the old shoe department so I chose a few little special mentions below. I highly recommend having a lil glance at ASOS's website if you fancy jazzing up your wardrobe a bit.
